A photographer swims by coral in the Wuzhizhou Island marine ranch of Sanya, South China’s Hainan Province. The marine ranch is the first national demonstration area for marine ranching in Hainan. The fish here have multiplied more than 10 times in a decade.
This protected area with artificial reefs offers a biosphere to fish, shrimp and shellfish, demonstrating progress made in marine ecological restoration and fishery resource conservation.
