Two rare species of Corybas plant have been recently found for the first time in Gaoligong Mountain, Tengchong, Southwest China’s Yunnan Province.

Corybas himalaicus and Corybas sinii are found growing together on leaf litter and moss in the region.

There are about 20,000 Corybas himalaicus and 700 Corybas sinii, estimated researchers from the Kunming Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences.

The researchers advised local authorities to set up a reserve to protect these flora that are endangered and of high scientific value.
