The Oregon Zoo has come up with a new, creepy way to look at the animal kingdom just in time for Halloween. It shared what it calls "gothy" X-ray scans of its animal occupants during a routine health check-up on Twitter on Oct. 18. (Photos: VCG)

In an eerie and mesmerizing series of images, it unveiled the inner-workings of a range of creatures great and small, including a gecko, python, a beaver’s tail, a flamingo's slender legs and even a tiger’s paw.

This health check of the zoo’s occupants has yielded some suitably spooky Halloween vibes.

The scans are reportedly useful diagnostic tools that help reduce time under anesthesia, according to BBC.
