China's Gu Ailing clinched the women's freeski big air title during her season debut at the International Ski Federation (FIS) Ski and Snowboard World Cup at Steamboat Ski Resort in Colorado, U.S., on Saturday.
The 18-year-old Olympic hopeful scored 184.25 to rank first, ahead of Tess Ledeux of France and Johanne Killi of Norway, who finished second and third respectively.
Gu, the winner of the 2020 Winter Youth Olympic Games in Switzerland's Lausanne, took both the freeski slopestyle gold and freeski halfpipe gold at the FIS World Championships in Aspen in March this year.
Also on Saturday, China's 17-year-old Su Yiming won his first World Cup career title in the men's snowboard big air event with a total of 155.25 points.
Austria's Clemens Millauer took the runner-up on 139.50 points, and Norway's Mons Roisland finished third on 134.00 points.
