The Beijing Organizing Committee unveiled three sets of official posters for the Beijing 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games on Wednesday.

Featuring emblems and mascots for the Games, the 3 sets of official posters aim to promote winter sports in China and welcome the world's top winter athletes to the Games.

The posters symbolize the unique characteristics of the Beijing Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games, and will hopefully be a lasting visual reminder for years to come, according to the Beijing Organising Committee for the 2022 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

The organizing committee also released 11 promotional pieces featuring elements of winter sports and Chinese culture. Chosen out of nearly 1,600 entries, the 11 sets mainly come from young designers and showcase their unique perception of the upcoming Beijing Winter Games.

Some of Beijing's ancient architecture, such as the Temple of Heaven, are depicted on the promotional posters along with scenes of Beijing residents skating on frozen lakes, Olympic and Paralympic winter sports events and host venues.

The posters all highlight the Beijing 2022 motto "Together for a Shared Future."

The posters will be used at international events and displayed at Games venues and on official licensed products to promote the Games.

The organizing committee hopes to maximize the use of the Winter Olympic posters to encourage more people around the country to be involved in this important occasion.

Preparations for Beijing 2022 have been in full swing. Scheduled from Feb 4 to 20, the Winter Olympics will take place in three zones－Beijing's downtown, its northwest Yanqing district and Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province－with China's Lunar New Year celebrations overlapping with the Games. The 10-day Paralympics will run from March 4 to 13.
