The Zhejiang Golden Bulls defeated the Jilin Northeast Tigers 82-66 on the road in Changchun, northeast China's Jilin Province, on Thursday, claiming their eighth win from nine games to return to sixth place in the standings.

Dakari Johnson anchored Zhejiang's victory with 22 points, 11 rebounds, three assists, three steals and one block, while Cheng Shuaipeng added 17 points that included drilling five of nine shots from beyond the arc.

Jilin's D.J. Wilson and Dallas Moore combined for 34 points, but the Northeast Tigers never managed to put together a serious comeback threat.

The Golden Bulls set the tone early, holding Jilin to just 11 points in the opening quarter with relentless defensive pressure. The visitors maintained control through the second period, keeping a double-digit cushion until Moore's late three trimmed the deficit to 40-32 at halftime.

Wilson attacked the paint to keep the Northeast Tigers within reach in the third quarter, but the hosts trailed 62-52 heading into the final period. Zhejiang's crisp ball movement then proved decisive, breaking down the home side's defense to pull away, before confirming Jilin's 24th defeat of the season.

In the night's other game, the Fujian Sturgeons beat the Jiangsu Dragons 84-76 on the road to keep their playoff hopes alive with three games remaining.

Zou Yang tallied 19 points and 12 rebounds, while Q.J. Peterson contributed 17 points. Fujian stayed in control for most of the contest, building a 23-point lead midway through the third quarter.

Jiangsu responded with a late surge, closing the gap to just one point after Pang Zhenglin's jumper with less than three minutes to go. But Zou executed a crucial putback and added a pair of free throws, while Peterson also converted from the line to seal the visiting team's victory.
