BEIJING, May 13 (Xinhua) -- The Zhejiang Lions defeated the Shanxi Loongs 91-67 on Wednesday in the 2025-26 Chinese Basketball Association playoffs, winning the series 2-1 to secure the final semifinal berth.

Zhejiang's Barry Brown Jr. dominated throughout, shooting 10-for-22 from the field, including six three-pointers, to finish with a game-high 32 points and five assists. Star center Hu Jinqiu added 15 points and seven rebounds.

Led by Brown and Hu, Zhejiang controlled the tempo for most of the game, while Shanxi struggled from long range, shooting just 7-for-23 from beyond the arc. The Loongs also committed 16 turnovers, undermining their hopes of a comeback.

Hamidou Diallo, who scored a team-high 18 points, was the only Shanxi player to finish in double figures.

Reflecting on Zhejiang's comeback in the series, Lions head coach Wang Bo praised his players' fighting spirit, noting that "the team has gone through many tougher situations in previous seasons."

Looking ahead to the semifinal series against the Shenzhen Aviators, Wang said limiting Shenzhen's frontcourt threat would be a key priority, describing Terquavion Smith and He Xining as "the strongest scoring duo in the league."

The CBA semifinals will be played in a best-of-five format. Regular-season champion Shanghai Sharks will face the Beijing Ducks, while Zhejiang takes on Shenzhen. The opening semifinal game between Beijing and Shanghai is scheduled for Friday.
