The prestigious tournament will bring together the world's top twelve teams from four major global regions—VCT CN, VCT EMEA, VCT Pacific, and VCT Americas—to battle for the ultimate Masters title over three consecutive weeks of high-stakes competition. Beyond the server, the event promises a wealth of on-site fan activations to ensure an unforgettable experience for both live attendees and global viewers.
Representing the VCT CN region are EDG, XLG, and DRG, who punched their tickets following standout performances in VCT CN Stage 1. They will face off against the top qualifiers from the other three major regions, whose Stage 1 tournaments have also recently concluded.
The tournament is structured into two distinct phases: the Swiss Stage and the Playoffs. The Swiss Stage will take place from June 6 to June 10, featuring eight of the qualified teams fighting for survival. Utilizing a Best-of-Three format, teams must secure two victories to advance, while two losses will result in immediate elimination. Only four teams from this stage will survive to round out the final playoff bracket.
The Playoffs will run from June 12 to June 21, featuring a double-elimination format where a single match loss puts a team in jeopardy and two losses mean elimination. Crucially, the number-one seed from each of the four global regions skips the Swiss Stage entirely, receiving a direct seed into the Playoffs. Every victory in this final phase awards valuable Championship Points, which serve as the pathway to qualifying for Champions Shanghai later this year.
The VCT CN region will make an immediate impact on the tournament's opening day. XLG is scheduled to kick off the entire event in the opening match against VCT Americas representative NRG on June 6 at 22:00 Beijing Time. Shortly after, DRG will make their debut on June 7 at 01:00 Beijing Time, facing off against VCT EMEA's Team Vitality. Meanwhile, EDG will watch the opening days unfold from the sidelines, having already secured their direct pass to the Playoffs as the VCT CN region's top seed.
