England suffered a surprise setback after its thrilling 3-2 win over Mexico in Mexico City on Sunday night, with midfielder Jordan Henderson sustaining what was described as a "really bad" wrist injury during post-match celebrations.
The 36-year-old Henderson suffered the injury when he fell from an advertising board while celebrating and was taken from the pitch on a stretcher.

"Jordan just fell over and injured his wrist. It looks really bad. It's quite a serious injury, and it doesn't fit the evening that Jordan is now not with us. The doctor told me he is in hospital," commented England coach Thomas Tuchel to the BBC.
It has been reported that Henderson will not travel with the rest of the team on Monday and is currently in the hospital with a member of the team's support staff.
England's win, which came thanks to two goals from Jude Bellingham and a Harry Kane penalty, means it will face Norway in the quarterfinal on Saturday.
