Daudet finished fifth in his heat in the men's 1/8 finals, missing the top-four finish required to advance to the quarterfinals on Sunday.
The reigning Olympic champion had failed to finish his Round 1 heat earlier in the day but advanced to the 1/8 finals by winning his last chance qualifying race.
His compatriot and Olympic bronze medalist Romain Mahieu qualified for the quarterfinals by winning his 1/8 final heat in a time of 34.27 seconds, while the best time of the day in the men's competition was set by Australia's Jesse Asmus, who won his 1/8 final heat in a time of 33.38 seconds.
In the women's competition, Australia's Sakakibara will be joined in the quarterfinals by 2024 Olympic silver medalist Manon Veenstra and bronze medalist Zoe Claessens.
All three Olympic medalists earned automatic progression to the quarterfinals by finishing in the top four of their respective heats, with Sakakibara and Claessens finishing first.
Sakakibara's time of 36.90 seconds was only bested by Britain's Bethany Shriever, who set a time of 36.58 seconds.
