Chinese Olympic champions Sheng Lihao and Zhang Changhong continued their blistering form by earning a one-two finish in the ISSF World Cup men's 10m air rifle final in Hangzhou on Wednesday.

Sheng, who won two gold medals at the 2024 Olympics in Paris, topped qualification with 637.5 points before carrying that form into the final. The 21-year-old led from the opening series and remained consistent with good technique, finishing with 253.9 points to claim his 12th World Cup title.

The victory was Sheng's first World Cup gold medal in his homeland.

Zhang, the 2020 Tokyo Olympic champion in the men's 50m rifle, arrived in Hangzhou in good spirits after winning gold at the previous World Cup stop. After narrowly advancing to the eight-man final, he delivered a neat performance to take second-place with 252.4 points.

Sweden's Victor Lindgren edged Ma Sihan for bronze by 0.2 points to deny China an all-podium finish.

Earlier in the day, China's reigning world champions Yao Qianxun and Hu Kai set world records in both qualification and the final to emerge victorious in the 10m air pistol mixed team event.

After setting a new qualification record with 591 points, the duo tallied 488.4 points in the finale, breaking the previous world record of 487.7 set by India's Palak Palak and Mukesh Nelavalli in April.
