Basketball's global governing body FIBA said its Basketball For Good initiatives reached more than 376,000 people across 127 countries and regions in 2025, according to the Basketball For Good Impact Report 2025 released on Wednesday.

Published on International Youth Day, the report said the FIBA Foundation empowered more than 830 Basketball For Good changemakers and supported 608 community projects. Program activities were held alongside all FIBA continental competitions during the year.

The report also said the Foundation's Propose A Project platform received 73 submissions from 58 countries and regions, while 43 Basketball For Good festivals were staged in 33 countries and regions to celebrate World Basketball Day 2025.

"The FIBA Foundation remains committed to expanding the reach and impact of Basketball For Good worldwide," FIBA said in the report. "The Foundation will continue to create opportunities for positive social change both on and off the court."

The FIBA Foundation launched Basketball For Good in 2016 to use basketball as a tool for social development, with projects focused on empowering, educating and inspiring young people through sport in communities around the world.
