Kane hits Bundesliga century as Olise treble fires Bayern past Union

Harry Kane became the fastest player to score 100 Bundesliga goals, while Michael Olise hit a hat-trick as Bayern Munich thrashed Union Berlin 7-0 on Friday.

Union, with captain Christopher Trimmel replacing the ill Josip Juranovic, defended deep under coach Mauro Lustrinelli and kept Bayern at bay during the opening 15 minutes.

Jamal Musiala broke the deadlock in the 18th minute, drilling a low shot into the right corner for his first Bundesliga goal since Bayern's 4-3 win over Mainz on April 25.

Union goalkeeper Frederik Ronnow produced a sharp save to deny Jonathan Tah before Olise won a penalty after being fouled by Tom Rothe inside the area in the 38th minute. Kane converted from the spot a minute later to score his 100th Bundesliga goal in just his 98th appearance, setting a competition record.

Olise made it 3-0 in the 43rd minute, firing into the top corner after receiving a pass from Musiala.

Manuel Neuer was called into action twice shortly after the restart, denying Janik Haberer and Rothe, but Bayern soon resumed its dominance. Olise crossed for Kane to head home his 101st Bundesliga goal in the 54th minute.

Kane was denied a hat-trick by a defensive block, while Rothe cleared substitute Ismael Saibari's effort off the line. Saibari responded moments later, collecting a pass from Alphonso Davies, beating several defenders and firing Bayern's fifth goal into the net in the 70th minute.

Olise then took center stage. Tom Bischof released the Frenchman, who rounded Ronnow to score his second goal three minutes later. The same pair combined again in the 76th minute, with Olise curling the ball home to complete his hat-trick and seal the 7-0 rout.

Serge Gnabry came off the bench in the 77th minute as Bayern comfortably saw out the closing stages.

"Top performance on the highest level from start to finish. To reach 101 Bundesliga goals makes me proud," Kane said.

Union remains without a victory after four rounds, while Bayern will travel to Augsburg after the international break. Union will host newly promoted Elversberg on October 10.
