Lifters of DPRK, Kazakhstan break 3 world records in men's 85kg

Ro Kwang Ryol of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea smashed two world records en route to winning the men's 85kg weightlifting title at the Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games on Monday, while Alexey Churkin of Kazakhstan also set a world record in the same category.

Ro produced a 214kg clean and jerk and posted a 379kg total, both new world records, to claim gold. Churkin lifted 173kg in the snatch, a new world record, to take silver.
