South Korea won both the men's 25m rapid fire pistol team and individual titles as the shooting competition at the 2026 Asian Games concluded on Thursday.

In the team event, South Korea's three shooters combined for 1,749 points to take gold. China finished second with 1,740, while Indonesia claimed bronze.

China's Su Lianbofan advanced to the individual final as the top qualifier before becoming locked in a battle for gold with South Korea's Lee Gun-hyeok.

Su and Lee were tied at 32 after the final, forcing a shoot-off. They remained level after both recorded four hits in the first shoot-off series, before Lee hit all five targets in the second to secure gold, with Su managing two.

Pakistan's Ghulam Mustafa Bashir took bronze.

"I was the youngest of the team then, so my mentality and thoughts were weaker compared to now," Lee said of his Asian Games debut in Hangzhou three years ago, where he finished 13th and missed the final.

"Now I am not the youngest, and now I also have a family and a baby, so that made me stronger mentally," he added.

Su, competing at his first Asian Games, said he was satisfied with his performance despite struggling to control his emotions in the final.

"I did what I'm capable of, and it feels good," Su said.

"You definitely feel more emotional, more anxious. I wasn't able to adjust quickly enough. I think that affected how I was able to perform," the 21-year-old added.

China finished atop the shooting medal table with 16 titles, while India and South Korea won three each.

Qatar and Kuwait finished with two golds apiece, while Japan and Uzbekistan each won one
