Changchun 2027 World University Games marks 100-day countdown

The 100-day countdown to the opening of the 33rd Winter World University Games in Changchun, northeast China's Jilin Province, began on Wednesday, with the organizing committee unveiling the event's torch, medals and promotional song.

Named "Ji Xiang" or "Auspicious Flight," the torch draws inspiration from the Clivia, Changchun's city flower, and incorporates elements representing the city, including film strips, skis and automobile wheels.

The medals, named "Ji Meng," or "Auspicious Dream," echo the event slogan, "Pursue dreams on ice and snow, stay young forever."

All 10 competition venues have been completed, with integrated testing of equipment scheduled to be finished by October 10.

Jilin Province has selected 8,100 volunteer candidates from more than 120,000 young people who applied to provide services and support during the Games.
