NEW DELHI, Feb. 17 (Xinhua) -- Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday inaugurated the five-day "India AI Impact Expo 2026" at an exhibition center here, attended by 20 heads of state, 60 ministers, and 500 global AI leaders.

According to an official statement, the AI summit was anchored in the three core pillars of "People, Planet and Progress." It was driven by seven thematic working groups covering AI for Economic Growth and Social Good, Democratization of AI Resources, Inclusion for Social Empowerment, Safe and Trusted AI, Human Capital, Science, and Resilience, Innovation and Efficiency.

The expo features pavilions from 13 countries, including Australia, Japan, Russia, Britain, France, Germany, and Italy, among others.

The AI expo had over 600 high-potential startups displaying international collaboration in the AI ecosystem, stated the official statement issued by the Indian government.
