KUALA LUMPUR, Aug. 10 (Xinhua) -- Malaysia ranked among the top three markets for artificial intelligence (AI) adoption in finance, with 85 percent of affluent and high-net-worth investors surveyed using AI for financial purposes, according to a survey released on Monday.

The adoption rate was above the global average of 73 percent, according to an HSBC survey of about 10,000 affluent and high-net-worth individuals across ten markets, conducted by Ipsos.
Beyond finance, respondents in Malaysia and other markets also reported using AI for work, career purposes, and personal development, both at 64 percent.
Younger investors were the heaviest users of AI for financial and investment decisions, with adoption at 89 percent among millennials aged 30-45 and 86 percent among Gen Z aged 21-29. Gen X (aged 46-61) recorded 85 percent adoption, while Baby Boomers (aged 62-69) stood at 78 percent.
