A total of eight models of 5G mobile phones from Huawei, ZTE, OnePlus, OPPO and Vivo have been certified by China Compulsory Certification (3C), according to the China Quality Certification Center.

Huawei accounts for four, including one TAH-AN00 and three EVR-AN00, while the others each takes one—OPPO PCKM90, ZTE A2020N2 Pro, Vivo V1916A and OnePlus GM1925.

Xiaomi, a well-known Chinese mobile phone company, said it would apply for its 5G phone tests next week based on its own business plan.

Before hitting the market, mobile phones requires 3C certification, a network access license and a certificate issued by the State Radio Regulatory Commission.

5G mobile phones of Huawei, OPPO and vivo have completed three certificates, which means that 5G mobile phones will enter the market in a short time.

5G mobile phones are expected to be available in the second half of the year, but initially at a higher price. For example, OPPO Reno 5G, which is already on sale in Switzerland, costs 999 Swiss francs ($1,014). Meanwhile, OPPO and ZTE's 5G phones go for €899 ($1,010) in Europe. The price of 5G phones is not expected to drop until the middle or end of next year.

As for the 5G package, it will be launched next month at the earliest. In the early commercial stage, it is expected to be around 10 yuan ($1.45) /10GB soon, cheaper than the 4G package, and the price will be lower in the second half of next year.
