Beijing (People's Daily) - Huawei launched a global action plan on Friday to help customers around the world fight COVID-19 with cloud and AI services. Its branch Huawei Cloud is leading the project to push for the shared technological pools.

"Huawei Cloud has used cloud and AI technology to fight the pandemic, and accumulated numerous experiences in AI-assisted CT scan analysis, drug discovery, online education, and telecommuting technologies," said Deng Tao, President of Huawei Cloud Global Market.

"We are launching this international action plan to share our practical experiences with international partners to cope with the unprecedented challenges," Deng added.

Huawei Cloud will provide free E-Health with services involving viral genome detection, antiviral drug in silico screening, and AI-assisted CT patient screening service. It will also offer online education services for schools and other educational institutions, and business packages that will help enterprises migrate businesses to the cloud to ensure continuous operations amid the outbreak.

Huawei Cloud has provided up to 1,500 hours of free cloud resources for each newly registered user, complete with 24/7 professional support on the Huawei Cloud (international) website.

Huawei Cloud has also released the Anti-COVID-19 Partner Program with scenarios including remote office, AI support, enterprise assistance, smart healthcare, and online education. Partners who participate in the program can obtain comprehensive business, technological, and market support, and have access to free cloud resources worth $30,000.
