“All functions are normal and operating in good condition,” the press release said. Recently, the module has carried out a series of functional tests, including rendezvous and docking, astronaut residency and the operation of robotic arms, as well as the inspection of the on-orbit performance of the space application project.

The Tianhe module was launched into orbit on April 29. It is China’s largest spacecraft by now and will act as the management and control hub of China’s first space station Tiangong.
