Mushahid Hussain Syed is the former chairman of the Pakistani Senate's Defense Committee, chairman of the Pakistan-China Institute, and head of Pakistan's "Friends of Silk Road Club." He has met with Chinese President Xi Jinping many times during the last 13 years. He is happy to share those pleasant memories and his view on the positive roles played by the Belt and Road Initiative and the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor.
