Direct flight links Xi'an, Lisbon

XI'AN, Aug. 30 (Xinhua) -- A direct flight was launched Friday between Xi'an, capital of northwest China's Shaanxi Province, and Lisbon.

The air route is operated by Capital Airlines, using an Airbus A330 aircraft.

Three round trips are scheduled every week on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. The outbound flight leaves Xi'an Xianyang International Airport at 12:15 p.m. Beijing time and the return flight leaves Lisbon at 10:45 p.m. local time.

With the new flight, Xi'an Xianyang International Airport has launched a total of 74 international air routes.

Xi'an is a popular tourist destination for its status as one of China's ancient capitals and its Terracotta Warriors.
