The Yungang Grottoes scenic area in Datong, Shanxi, remains extremely popular with tourists all year round. This World Heritage Site dates back to the Northern Wei Dynasty around 1,500 years ago and continues to attract large numbers of domestic and international visitors eager to experience the artistic charm of these millennium-old grottoes up close.
