Beautiful scenery of Danxia landform after rain in NW China's Shaanxi

Recently, mist enveloped the Bolang Valley scenic area in Longzhou town, Jingbian county, Yulin city, northwest China's Shaanxi Province. Freshly washed by the rain, the red sandstone took on even richer, more vibrant hues, while the misty landscape drew crowds of visitors to stop, admire the scenery and linger.

Shaped over hundreds of millions of years by wind erosion and flowing water, the area's Danxia landform features layered sandstone formations that resemble rolling waves. Under clear skies, the Danxia landscape is vivid, and after rain, it becomes serene and shrouded in mist.

"It's my first time here, and I couldn't have been luckier. The rain has made the colors of the Danxia landscape especially vibrant, and the misty atmosphere is simply enchanting," said Ms. Zhang, a tourist from south China's Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region.

Jingbian's distinctive geological landscape, sound ecological environment and rich frontier cultural heritage continue to enhance its appeal as a tourism destination. Leveraging its unique geological resources, the county has continued to improve tourism infrastructure, enrich visitor experiences and promote the integrated development of culture and tourism, turning its ecological assets into a strong engine for rural revitalization.
