The terraces that paint themselves

Deyao Township sits west of Gulin County, southwest China's Sichuan Province, a key junction on the Sichuan-Guizhou-Chongqing tourism "Golden Triangle" route. The terraced fields here are the living art carved into the mountainsides. They reflect clouds and sunlight across flooded paddies, shifting from emerald green in summer to golden harvest in autumn. Misty dawns and scattered peaks complete the breathtaking scene.
