Affected by the cold wave, the Tianmen Mountain scenic area in central China's Hunan Province welcomed the first snowfall this winter on November 30. A thin layer of snow blankets the mountaintops, creating a breathtaking snowy world surrounded by a sea of clouds.

The average elevation of Tianmen Mountain's peaks is more than 1,400 meters. Every year, magnificent rime landscapes are formed when the area enters the ice and snow season from December to March of the following year.
