TAIYUAN, Aug. 5 (Xinhua) -- A photo exhibition featuring the iconic Great Wall will visit many domestic and foreign cities.
A total of 136 photos of the Great Wall are being presented in Taiyuan, capital of northern China's Shanxi Province. The exhibition will also visit cities in the provinces of Shandong, Guizhou and Hunan. The event will then go overseas to be shown in cities in the United States, Canada and France.
The pictures were taken by photographer Ren Yanlong. For more than 10 years, Ren visited different sections of the Great Wall and recorded local stories through photography.
"Every photo is a story that records part of history," Ren said.
Shanxi is home to many sections of the Great Wall. It has more than 1,500 km of the relic and many ancient walls of different dynasties were built in the province.
