Legoland Shanghai Resort is expected to officially open in early 2024, the construction of which will start within this year, according to local officials.

The joint venture company for the project completed its business registration before the Spring Festival, and obtained its business license over a month earlier than the original schedule. Follow-up work such as design and construction is now under progress.

The resort will integrate the elements of Chinese and Shanghai culture and local features. An immersive park with diverse story themes will be created by world-class design teams, which will harness multiple audiovisual technologies. It will become a paradise for some blissful family time.

The local government will also accelerate the development of the surrounding areas of the resort, upgrade the transportation and other supporting facilities. They will bolster tourism by introducing high-end hotels and parent-child theme hotels to the area, and vigorously improving their reception capacity. Further headway will be made in fashion and health, cultural innovation, education, business and public services.
