London's landmark Canary Wharf shines for Winter Lights Festival

London’s landmark Canary Wharf was lit up for the annual Winter Lights Festival on Tuesday. (Photos: VCG)

A total of 21 new sculptures and installations were set up by international artists to give a shiny look to the financial district.

Some highlights of the exhibition included an illuminated tunnel that resembled a whale's rib cage and a "blue neuron" made of plastic bottles, both to raise people's awareness towards preserving nature.

The Winter Lights Festival kicked off on Tuesday and will last until January 26.
