Known as the "Vegas of China," Macao Special Administrative Region is famous for its luxury entertainment industry. It's a wonderful travel destination where you can find a unique combination of Chinese culture and Portuguese heritage. Besides, Macao also has some beautiful green spots where you can take a break in nature.

Lotus is a very popular plant in Macao. There is an annual Macao Lotus Flower Festival, a summer event held in June, showcasing lotuses found throughout China. You can also find lotus-themed food in restaurants.

Besides, there is a well-known square called Golden Lotus Square which features a large bronze sculpture named "Lotus Flower in Full Bloom." The sculpture symbolizes the perpetual prosperity of Macao.

As the floral emblem of Macao, the lotus is widely beloved by the local residents. The flower symbolizes purity and grace and is usually found in white or pink color. They grow in murky and shallow waters and enjoy warm sunlight. Its petals have a waxy coating that can shed dirt and water, so the flower looks clean even after blooming out of muddy waters.
