A one-day tour pass combining a cruise on the Huangpu River, a sightseeing bus tour and admission to the Shanghai Tower was released on Wednesday.

With the pass, tourists are able to appreciate the charm of the city on the sightseeing bus, take a bird's-eye view of the city atop the skyscraper, and appreciate the classic architecture appeal along both banks of the Huangpu River from a cruise ship.

The tour pass can be purchased at outlets of the Shanghai Tour Bus Center, outlets of Huangpu River cruise tours, stops of double-decker buses and on the buses. It is also available on the WeChat account of the bus center.

The price of the tour pass is 260 yuan (39 U.S. dollars) per person, with discount price at 238 yuan (35.3 U.S. dollars) now on its release. The combined price of the three items is 330 yuan (49 U.S. dollars) if purchased individually.

The opening of the 45-kilometer waterfront of the Huangpu River promises better views of the river, and the tour pass provides more convenience for tourists to get closer to the city, said Xu Jie, chairman of the Shanghai Huangpu River Cruise Co.

The Huangpu River cruise tour lasts about 50 minutes, and operates between 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. with an interval of one hour. Between 6 p.m. and 9:30 p.m., there is one such tour every 30 minutes. The Shanghai Tower in the Pudong New Area opens from 8:30 a.m. to 10 p.m.

The two sightseeing bus routes have 11 and 10 stops respectively. The hop-on/hop-off buses cover landmark tourist attractions of Shanghai such as the Bund, Shanghai Tower, the Yuyuan Garden, Xintiandi and Waibaidu Bridge.
