Recently, a group of aerial photos of the Salt Lake in Yuncheng, Shanxi province presented a unique and gorgeous landscape in the cold winter days.

Under the sun, various bright colors appear on the surface of the lake. When viewed from the air, the lake could be mistaken for an artists palette.

Various chemical elements in the water as well as green algae give rise to the dazzling colors on the lake.
