More than 2,000 tourists from Central China's Hubei province were offered tourist coupon cards by the local tourism bureau in Kunming, capital of Southwest China's Yunnan province, on Tuesday.

According to the Kunming City Culture and Tourism Bureau, tourists stranded in Kunming due to the novel coronavirus pneumonia (NCP) outbreak are eligible for the cards.

With the coupon cards, any of these tourists, their family members, or their tour group can receive 50 percent discounts on tickets at designated scenic spots and hotels in Yunnan province within three years.

The staff of the Party committee of the Kunming City Culture and Tourism Bureau helped deliver the cards to these Hubei tourists, and it has helped to build a bridge of friendship between the provinces.

After the NCP outbreak, the bureau immediately took measures to arrange assistance for stranded tourists, and they were offered the coupon cards as a gesture of friendship.

Yang Mingjun, secretary of the bureau's Leading Party Members' Group, said Kunming looks forward to receiving tourists from Hubei and from the rest of the world, offering better tourism services and providing higher-quality tourism facilities.

For more information about the discount cards, scan "Kunming Fan'er", the bureau's public WeChat account, or call the bureau at 0871-65311101.
