China's Xiamen Airlines launched two air routes linking two Chinese cities and southeast Asian cities on Sunday.

One of the routes links Harbin City, the capital of northeast China's Heilongjiang Province, Fuzhou City, the capital of southeast China's Fujian Province, and Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with four flights scheduled every week. The first flight took off on Sunday.

Another route connects Harbin, Fuzhou and Jakarta City in Indonesia, with three flights every week. The first flight is operational on Oct. 29.

There will be more than 20,000 trips from Heilongjiang Province to southeast Asia and nearly 25,000 trips from southeast Asia to the province a year thanks to the launch of the two air routes, according to the commerce bureau of Harbin City.
