With the onset of winter, snowfalls have created breathtaking sceneries in multiple regions in China.

Hulunbuir City in north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region saw 7 millimeters of snow between Monday and Tuesday as the temperature dropped to minus 26.1 degree Celsius. Some 1,400 workers with winter service vehicles were dispatched to the streets to clear the snow that also halted long-distance travel services in the area.

Contrary to the harsh conditions in the north, snow is considered more of a blessing in the regions down south, with scenic areas blanketed by a touch of winter magic and the weather still mild enough for tourists to roam about.

Tianmenshan National Forest Park in Zhangjiajie City, central China's Hunan Province, presented an unworldly sight after the first snowfall this winter on Wednesday. Its unique cliffs and pristine forests were turned into a Chinese ink painting by the slowly falling snow.

Mount Huangshan in east China's Anhui Province also saw its first snow of the season on Wednesday. The snow covered the trees with milky white rime and turned the mountain into a winter fairyland.

In southwest China's Chongqing Municipality, snow arrived in some high-altitude areas on Wednesday, creating picturesque landscapes for tourists to enjoy.
