There is a humble minibus at the police station of Jianghan district in Wuhan. The car cockpit is isolated from the backseat by cardboard, thin film and tape.
It is hard to imagine that protective medical resources were in short supply at this police station, now there are enough. But despite the risk of being infected, at the early life or death moment, eight unselfish policemen volunteered to send more than 80 patients infected with COVID-19 by that crude minibus. Fortunately, all the police staff are safe and sound.
“We are not frightened by the virus and saving people’s lives has always been our mission.”
“All old men chose to stay on the cruise when the Titanic was sinking,” said one of these “warriors on a battle assignment.”
Of course, Wuhan was not, is not and will not become the second Titanic. It is these warriors, with their spirit of sacrifice, who hold up the sky of Wuhan.
