Beijing(People's Daily) - To better help countries to correctly understand COVID-19 prevention and control work and enhance the protection awareness, the leading group of Northwest University Epidemic Prevention and Control Committee organized a translation of multilingual team to work together in translating 50 Questions and Answers about the Prevention and Control of COVID-19 into 7 foreign languages versions.
The book's English, Russian, Japanese, Korean, German, Italian, and Arabic versions translated by Northwest University translation team are issued on Firday in Xi'an, northwest China's Shaanxi province.
It is the joint efforts by Chinese translators and international friends from the United Kingdom, Germany, Uzbekistan, Japan, South Korea, Italy and Egypt, and the Northwest University press.
At present, the pandemic over the world is severe, and the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases continues to rise in some countries. China has made important progress in the prevention and control of the epidemic and accumulated rich experience in fighting the epidemic.
It is reported that the book has been given to the Utah State of America, the Consulate general of South Korea in Xi 'an, the Consulate general of Thailand in Xi'an, Shaanxi Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, the Entry and Exit Administration Office of Shaanxi Province, colleges and universities in Shaanxi that recruit foreign students and other relevant institutions.
Adam Foster, President of the Helen Foster Snow foundation in the United States, made a video thanking Northwest University for the book.
