China’s Gaofen-13 Satellite successfully launches

China successfully launched the Gaofen-13 Satellite into orbit on the Long March-3B carrier rocket from the Xichang Satellite Launch Center in southwest China's Sichuan Province on October 12, 2020.

As a high-orbit optical remote sensing satellite, the satellite will be mainly used in the fields of land census, crop yield estimation, environmental management, meteorological early warning and forecast, and comprehensive disaster prevention and reduction and so on, which aims to provide information services for national economic development.

This mission is the 349th flight of the Long March rocket family.
