A video of high school students in Dunhuang, Northwest China’s Gansu Province performing a Flying Apsaras dance went viral recently.

The dance adopts elements from Mogao Grottoes in Dunhuang, a world heritage site famous for its statues and wall paintings spanning 1,000 years of Buddhist art.

The students have been dancing during exercise break for over five years.
