Recently, the logistical group of the Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Tibet Military Command adopted drones to deliver hot meals to frontline soldiers during a drill at an altitude of 4,500 meters.
In a video released by China Central Television, PLA logistics soldiers were seen transporting hot food with ground vehicles. Their fleet was stuck on the way due to water seepage in the road during the process, when the drone unit headed to a designated spot with packed food and medical supplies.
Swarms of drones soon arrived at their destination followed by the fleet with the rest of the food after getting rid of a potential danger.
The drills explored new logistics support modes by combining both ground and aerial means. Such logistics support could be vital if the PLA soldiers were forced to engage in military conflict.
The delivered food replenished soldiers’ strength and boosted their morale.
