This Tuesday marks Da Shu, or the "Great Heat", the 12th of the 24 solar terms in the Chinese lunar calendar.

The Great Heat divides the Chinese lunar year into two halves. It is also the last solar term of the summer.

Solar Terms is a calendar of 24 periods and climate to govern agricultural arrangements in ancient China to the present.
