President Xi Jinping paid a state visit to Serbia on Tuesday and Wednesday, May 7 and 8, 2024. During the visit, Xi and Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic signed a joint statement on the building of a China-Serbia community with a shared future in the new era, making Serbia the first European country to build such a community with China.
