How does a winter in Northeast China compare to one in Canada? Lea Baillargeon, a student from Quebec, joins fellow Peking University student Zhang Wei, nicknamed Momo, for a 72-hour adventure through Jilin Province. Together they experience Chagan Lake's winter fishing tradition, ski the slopes of Songhua Lake and explore forests of rime-covered trees. They also visit Changchun's historic satellite base. Baillargeon discovers that Jilin's ice and snow culture offers its own unique warmth and spirit. (Video source: Peking University; Edited by intern Xu Siyue, Lin Rui)
