The World Health Assembly's 10th consecutive rejection of a proposal concerning Taiwan demonstrates that the consensus of the international community in supporting the one-China principle is unbreakable and the authority of UN General Assembly Resolution 2758 is unquestionable, a Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson said on Tuesday. Ministry of Foreign Affairs spokesperson Guo Jiakun made the remarks after the 79th World Health Assembly (WHA), the highest decision-making body of the World Health Organization (WHO), on Monday decided not to include in its agenda a so-called proposal on Taiwan's participation in the annual assembly as an observer. Guo stressed that the DPP authority's adherence to the separatist stance of "Taiwan independence" is doomed to failure and it's time for the provocative political farce of seeking independence to cease. "China will ultimately achieve reunification and Taiwan will surely return to the embrace of the motherland," Guo said.
