A whale shark was spotted swimming alongside a small fishing boat near an offshore wind power project in the Beibu Gulf, off the coast of Fangchenggang, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on Monday. These gentle giants commonly migrate to the area in May and June, drawn by plentiful food during the summer fishing moratorium.
