CPC leads China into the future: Martin Jacques
In an interview with the People's Daily, British scholar Martin Jacques discusses the governing logic behind the Communist Party of China and its rise as the world's largest political party.
He highlights its 105-year history, deep civilizational roots, broad social representation and ability to combine long-term planning with continuous self-renewal. He argues these traits set it apart from Western political models and underpin China's rapid transformation.
The CPC "always thinks ahead and where China might be in not just five years with a five-year plan, but 10 years, 15 years, 20 years. If you go to China now as a Westerner, for example, and see what's happening, you already feel that you're moving into the future. And this is the achievement of the Chinese Communist Party," he said.
A must-watch for anyone eager to move beyond Western stereotypes and understand the real story of the CPC's governance.(Produced by Han Xiaomeng, Ni Tao and intern Liu Xinru)
