At 9:08 am on July 17, 2027, a sudden landslide struck Hanjia subdistrict in Pengshui, Chongqing, crushing multiple residential buildings. Earlier, at around 8:00 am, community grid workers spotted falling rocks and immediately sounded an emergency alarm, prompting local authorities to evacuate over 60 residents quickly. Tragically, the landslide struck mid-evacuation, trapping several people. While eight trapped individuals have already been successfully rescued as of 11:38 am, search and rescue operations remain underway as the exact number of those still trapped is being confirmed.
