The Yantai-Weihai 1,000 kV ultra-high-voltage (UHV) transmission line is fully connected in Shandong Province, East China, on July 27. The project marks the world's first direct connection between a nuclear power plant and a UHV power grid. It also forms a key part of China's first provincial-level UHV dual-ring network.
