The Tyndall effect appears over Zengfengling National Nature Reserve in Jilin Province, Northeast China. Sunlight scatters off moisture and dust particles suspended in the air above the primeval forest of Changbai Mountain. The scattering produces visible beams of light through the trees in the early morning.
